I opened the box for The Encyclopedia of Angels, Spirit Guides & Ascended Masters took out the book and felt the magic. Just holding the book felt good. In fact, I felt like I was standing in the woods, with a light breeze around me and the sun shining on me. I was so relaxed. Then I opened the book. It is so beautiful. Each time I open the book, randomly, the angel or spirit guide or ascended master that I need for that day appears. I love it! I used to feel lonely sometimes in my spiritual search but with all these “helpers” around, how can I possibly be lonely?

When I first received my copy of this book, I thought “oh no, not another angel book!” However, when I first started browsing through the book, I was pleasantly surprised.
First off, this is a gorgeous book, and could easily just stay put on your coffee table. It’s of a larger size, and where it’s not a hard-back, it’s cover is thicker than that of a regular paperback. The pages are thick and glossy, and there are many illustrations throughout the book. And I have to say the illustrations, which are done by Wendy Edelson, are fabulous. They look like they are done with watercolor? Whatever the medium, they are beautiful. It’s 314 pages, and includes information on 17 archangels, 29 angels, 24 saints, 40 ascended masters and spirit guides, and 90 gods, goddesses and deities.
On each page is is a section that tells you about that particular being. There is a section on how they can help you, an invocation and then a bit about that being. On the angels pages, the associated faith of that particular angel is listed, on the ascended masters’ pages their date of birth and death are given, or it’s listed if they are a mythological character. On the pages about the gods and goddesses, their associated culture is listed.
This book is well researched, and Susan’s writing style is clear and easy to understand. And I like that she includes some of my favorites, but also some beings whom I’m not very familiar with.
My kids love to flip through this book, and I often find visitors to my home picking up the book and flipping through it and remarking on how interesting it is.
I have enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great reference book on angels and saints, etc.. It’s a wonderful source for anyone who wishes to connect to a higher power for wisdom and guidance, or even just to expand one’s spiritual awareness.

I loved the book. It is very user friendly: the layout bullet points the specific ways the angels and spirits can help us and how we can reach out to them.
The one thing I would change and request of the author – please provide a pronunciation key with the names. I think it would help greatly to pronounce their name correctly when we call out to them.

I own several books that I use regularly to reference information about the angels, spirit guides and ascended masters. I use these books frequently when writing guidance messages on my website, http://www.yourangelsguidance.com, and as reference material for my clients during their angel card readings.
Without a doubt, my favorite book is Susan’s The Encyclopedia of Angels- Spirit Guides & Ascended Masters. In fact, I was so impressed with the information I found in Susan’s book that I added a new feature to my website called YOUR Weekly Celestial Guide, which is 100% inspired by Susan and her book!
Her book is full of easy to read information about our celestial beings, and most importantly, Susan provides a way to call on our celestial beings to help us with any life challenge we may have. You can use her book as you use oracle cards. Simply focus on what you need help with in your life and ask your celestial beings to help you pick an angel, spirit guide or ascended master from Susan’s book that can assist you.
If you enjoy reading about and using information about your angels, spirit guides and ascended masters, Susan’s book is a must to add to your library of spiritual material.
Love and Blessings,
Gary
